As the world is becoming smaller and smaller with the advances in technology, the importance of independent accounting firms being part of an International Association or Network is becoming equally important. The recent Moore Stephens London office merger into BDO has opened up the debate of the London firm to represent Moore Stephens International which is currently Kingston Smith.
KSI the International Association that used to have Kingston Smith as its London representative is clearly available and this may have been resolved if not made public yet. London of course is the honey pot for all the International Associations for referring work into the UK. That said, independent firms are increasingly being involved with foreign subsidiaries and business coming in from abroad which is to be commended.
Not least, the issue of Brexit has brought forward the need for training accountants to be able to service foreign subsidiaries especially businesses that could be affected by Brexit.
