Do you have or want to have a property specialism?

When we surveyed accountancy firms for our Inside Accountancy Practices 2021 Benchmark Report, we found that 80% specialise in at least one industry niche – and one of the top niches is property. This is why we’ve created a Property Sector Group, with a specialist resource centre.

Whether you already have property sector clients or are looking to develop this service for your practice, the resource centre will help enhance your proposition, and position your firm as an expert in this field. Sign up to our Property Sector Group, and you’ll gain access to monthly newsletters, quarterly online meetings, technical fact sheets, tax calculators, and exclusive webinars.

You’ll also benefit from comprehensive marketing support, including a 20:20 Property Expert logo to endorse your services – plus networking opportunities with other professionals specialising in this area.

What does membership of the Property Sector Group include?

  • Quarterly Focus Groups, led by specialist Steve Bicknell. Meet peers, ask questions, gain ideas and access the latest industry trends.
  • Monthly technical resources to build and develop your knowledge when acting for property landlords.
  • Monthly newsletters send to your clients. Share the latest news, updates and topics, and position your firm as a thought leader.
  • Technical fact sheets to send to your clients to answer their queries. Over 45 factsheets including 'is it a repair or an improvement?', 'How to complete a monthly CIS return' and more. New factsheets are added every month.
  • Marketing support including the 20:20 Property Expert logo, and a leaflet and video for your website.
  • Useful Excel tax calculators.
  • Preparation for the expected April 2025 withdrawal of the furnished holiday let status.
  • Preparation for moving landlords with income over £50,000 into MTD for Income Tax from April 2026.

Property Consultant

In our niche group, we explore the tax issues relating to current property strategies – and, more importantly, look at how to gain lucrative work and high fees from advising your clients.

Our focus is on clients who aspire to build a property business, and not on accidental landlords.

After subscribing to the 20:20 Innovation Property Group we've found the newsletters, tips and meetings very informative. Recently a property-owning landlord decided to join us as we informed her we would add her to our Landlord's newsletter and that tipped the balance in our favour against other local accountants.
